About POOL BTC
What this is
POOL BTC (pool-btc.com) is an independent comparison site for Bitcoin mining pools: a pool ranking, a profitability calculator that accounts for pool fee and electricity, plus catalogues of mining hardware, crypto cards, wallets and exchanges in 13 languages.
We are not a mining pool. We do not accept hashrate, do not hold funds and have no affiliation with BTC.com Pool (pool.btc.com) or poolbtc.io - those are different projects with similar names.
What we offer, in numbers
- 17 pools in the ranking, compared by net BTC/day
- 46 crypto cards plus wallet and exchange comparisons
- a profitability calculator that accounts for pool fee and electricity price
- 78 blog articles, every section available in 13 languages
How we earn
Some links on the site are affiliate links: if you sign up with a service through our link, that service pays us a commission. Your terms do not change.
Out of 17 pools in the ranking we have affiliate relationships with six: ViaBTC, EMCD, Promminer, Trustpool, Neopool, Kryptex Pool. With the rest (Foundry USA, AntPool, F2Pool, Luxor, Binance Pool, 2Miners, HeroMiners, SupportXMR, Nanopool, WoolyPooly, NiceHash) we have no affiliate relationship. Ranking positions are computed by the formula and do not depend on partnerships - see the methodology and the ranking changelog, where every position change is dated and sourced.
How we rank
The ranking is built on net profitability: how much BTC per day a miner actually keeps after the pool fee and electricity. The full formula, data sources and limitations are on the methodology page.
What we do not do
- we do not give investment advice: every figure is an estimate, not a guarantee of income
- we do not factor in pool "luck", merged mining or token bonuses
- we do not audit pool solvency - verify terms with the pool itself before pointing hashrate at it
Who we are
POOL BTC is run by a small independent team of miners and developers. We operate no pool and no hashrate of our own, so we do not care which pool you pick - only that the math is honest.
