Binance Pool review 2026: fees, payouts, countries, who it fits
Binance Pool suits miners who already have a verified Binance account, accept a 4% FPPS fee and are happy to keep their earnings in the exchange's Funding Wallet. It is a weak choice if you want low fees, direct payouts to your own address or Lightning, or if you live in a country where Binance is unavailable, such as Russia.
POOL BTC is an independent comparison site, not Binance and not a mining pool, and nothing here is financial advice. The figures come from Binance's support pages, the network statistics on mempool.space and the official pages of the alternative pools, all checked on 2026-10-06.
What is Binance Pool?
Binance Pool is the mining pool run by the Binance exchange. You point your ASIC miners at its servers, the pool combines the work of many miners and pays you for the shares you submit. It supports Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, both SHA-256 coins, and Litecoin, which uses Scrypt.
You need a Binance account to use it, so the pool is tied to the exchange's rules and identity checks. In exchange, mining income lands in the same account where you can trade or withdraw it.
How much does Binance Pool charge?
The fee for Bitcoin is 4% on the FPPS scheme, as stated in the pool's fee announcement that we last verified on 2026-08-18 and that remains the figure on our pool list. Fees for Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin are not stated on the official pages we checked on 2026-10-06.
FPPS means full pay per share. The pool pays for every valid share according to a formula: your share count divided by difficulty, multiplied by the block subsidy plus the average network transaction fees per block, minus the pool fee. You get the expected value of a block instead of waiting for luck. Binance's support page also mentions other schemes such as PPS+, PPS and PPLNS on the platform, but FPPS is the default for Bitcoin.
At 4% the pool sits at the high end. A miner who earns 0.01 BTC of gross rewards in a period loses 0.0004 BTC to the fee, while a 2.5% pool would take 0.00025 BTC.
How and when does Binance Pool pay?
Binance Pool settles earnings once a day for the period from 00:00 UTC the previous day to 00:00 UTC the current day, and credits them the following day between 02:00 and 10:00 UTC. Payouts go to your Binance Funding Wallet, and moving them to the Spot Wallet inside Binance is free.
| Item | Binance Pool |
|---|---|
| Scheme | FPPS |
| Fee for BTC | 4% |
| Settlement period | 00:00 to 00:00 UTC |
| Credit time | Next day, 02:00 to 10:00 UTC |
| Minimum payout | Not stated on the official site |
| Destination | Binance Funding Wallet |
| Coins | BTC, BCH, LTC |
Because settlement covers the previous UTC day, income earned today shows up tomorrow, so plan your cash flow around a one day lag. A new miner will not see a balance on the first day. The minimum payout is not published, so we cannot tell you a threshold. Money reaches your own wallet only after you withdraw it from Binance, with the usual exchange withdrawal rules and network fee.
How do you connect miners to Binance Pool?
You use the standard Stratum protocol with your pool account name and a worker name. The worker format is the account name, a dot and a worker name, and the password can be anything or empty.
The official how to mine page lists these Bitcoin servers:
- stratum+tcp://sha256.poolbinance.com:443
- stratum+tcp://btc.poolbinance.com:1800
- stratum+tcp://bs.poolbinance.com:3333
Ports 443, 1800, 3333 and 8888 are supported. Whether the pool offers sub accounts or read only observer links is not stated on the official pages we checked on 2026-10-06.
How big is Binance Pool?
Binance Pool is a mid sized pool. On the mempool.space pool ranking checked on 2026-10-06, it found 16 of about 1,023 blocks over one week, a share of about 1.57%, while the network ran at about 984 EH/s. A live check the same day showed slightly different totals, so expect small movement.
A modest share does not make the pool unreliable. With FPPS your income does not depend on the pool's luck, and a larger pool mainly smooths your results if you use a luck based scheme.
Which countries can use Binance Pool?
Binance Pool needs a Binance account with mandatory identity verification, so the countries are the ones where Binance serves users. Binance says it serves more than 180 countries, and its prohibited list updated in January 2026 includes the United States on the main site, Canada, the Netherlands, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Crimea and the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Russia is not available. Binance sold its Russian business to CommEx in September 2023, according to a news report from the time, and Russian users were redirected. For CIS countries we found no blanket ban on the official pages, but rules vary by country. Argentina and the rest of Latin America are not listed as prohibited, and Argentina specific limits are not stated on the official pages we checked.
US miners must use Binance.US, a separate company, and whether Binance Pool is available there is not confirmed on the official site.
What are the risks of mining on Binance Pool?
The main risk is custody. Your earnings sit in an exchange wallet until you withdraw them, so you carry the exchange's counterparty and regulatory risk. There is no way to have the pool pay straight to a self-custodial address, and no Lightning option.
- A 4% fee is among the highest for Bitcoin.
- Funds in the Funding Wallet are exposed to exchange outages, freezes and account reviews.
- Binance left Russia in 2023, so access can change by country.
- The minimum payout and some features are not documented.
- Our fee data was last verified on 2026-08-18 and should be rechecked at the pool before you route hashrate.
If you mine at home, check profitability first with our calculator, because a few percent of fee can decide whether a rig is worth running.
How does Binance Pool compare with F2Pool, ViaBTC, Braiins and EMCD?
Binance Pool matches the headline fee of F2Pool and ViaBTC on their default FPPS or PPS+ schemes, but both of those offer a 2% PPLNS option, and Braiins is cheaper. Only Binance Pool pays into an exchange account by default. The table uses each pool's own pages.
| Pool | Scheme for BTC | Fee | Minimum payout | Payout timing | Self-custody |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Binance Pool | FPPS | 4% | Not stated | Daily, 02:00 to 10:00 UTC | No, exchange wallet |
| F2Pool | FPPS or PPLNS | 4% or 2% | 0.005 BTC on FPPS | Daily at 00:00 UTC if threshold met | Yes |
| ViaBTC | PPS+ or PPLNS | 4% or 2% | Not stated | PPS+ hourly | Yes |
| Braiins Pool | FPPS | 2.5%, 0% with Braiins OS | 0.0002 BTC on chain, 1 sat Lightning | Daily 09:00 UTC or custom | Yes, including Lightning |
| EMCD | FPPS or PPS+ | See below | Not stated | Daily 16:00 to 17:00 GMT+3 | Yes |
The EMCD fee shows an open conflict. EMCD's pool page markets a fee from 1.5%, while a January 2026 announcement says the base commission for new users rose to 4% from January 12, 2026, with older users keeping their rate. Both are official. For details see our EMCD pool review.
Should you use Binance Pool?
Use it if convenience matters more than the last percent of income and you are comfortable with exchange custody. Skip it if you need self-custody, low fees or lightning payouts. You can open an account through this Binance link.
Nothing here is a promise of income. Mining profit depends on hardware, power price, network difficulty and the Bitcoin price, none of which the pool controls.
