Crypto Card Cashback Calculator: How Much Will You Actually Earn Per Year
The calculator at POOL BTC computes your net annual cashback across crypto card plans, factoring in monthly caps, annual fees, and foreign exchange (FX) markups. Enter your region, monthly spend and the share of purchases in a foreign currency, and it ranks plans by what you actually keep, not by the headline rate.
Why does the advertised cashback rate not match real earnings?
Most cards cap cashback each month, charge an annual fee and add an FX markup on foreign-currency purchases. Take $2,000 of spend a month with no FX: Tria Max (6% on the label) nets $1,190 a year after its $250 fee, and Tria Pro (4.5%) nets $971 (Tria memberships, 26 September 2026). The label rate is only the starting point.
Which cards does the calculator compare?
It covers plans from Tria, Jupiter Global, Plasma, Kast, Ledger, Fold, Gemini, Bitpanda, Bleap, ARQ and MetaMask. Cards marked "global" appear in every region; others are filtered by your selected region (EEA, UK, US, LatAm, Russia, CIS, Australia). The full comparison is on the cards page.
How is net cashback calculated?
Net per year = (monthly cashback up to the cap, minus FX cost) x 12, minus the annual fee. Where a plan has tiers, the calculator applies each rate to its own slice of spend, switches to the lower rate after the cap, and charges FX only on the foreign-currency share.
How much do top cards return on $2,000/month spend?
At $2,000/month with no foreign currency purchases:
| Plan | Rate | Monthly cap | Annual fee | Net per year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tria Max | 6% on the first $2,000 of spend, then 1% | $2,000 of spend/mo | $250 | $1,190 |
| Tria Pro | 4.5% on the first $2,000 of spend, then 1% | $2,000 of spend/mo | $109 | $971 |
| Plasma Platinum | 4% / 3% / 2% / 1% tiers | first tier $3,000 of spend | lock 100k XPL | $960* |
| Plasma Core | 3% / 2% / 1%, then 0.25% | $1,000 of spend per tier | $199 or lock 20k XPL | $401 |
| Kast Standard | 1.5% | $2,000 of spend | $0 | $360 |
| Tria Lite | 1.5% on the first $1,000 of spend, then 0.5% | $1,000 of spend/mo | $20 | $220 |
*Plasma Platinum leaves out the cost of the locked XPL tokens.

What currency is cashback paid in?
Each issuer pays cashback in its own token or stablecoin:
| Card | Cashback currency |
|---|---|
| Tria | USDT on Arbitrum |
| Jupiter Global | USDC (docs.jup.ag) |
| Plasma | XPL |
| Ledger | BTC |
| Bleap | USDC |
| MetaMask | mUSD |
Stablecoin cashback (USDT, USDC, mUSD) keeps its value. Token cashback such as XPL moves with the market, and the calculator counts it at face value in USD.
What are the foreign exchange (FX) fees?
FX fees take a bite out of cashback on purchases outside the card's base currency. Jupiter Global charges 1% or 1.8% depending on region (docs.jup.ag, October 2026). Kast charges 0.5% to 1.75% (Kast help center). Bleap and Ledger advertise 0% FX on purchases. Tria's FX fee is unconfirmed: the help center states 0%, but terms allow a higher figure. MetaMask charges 1%.
What if my spend is higher or lower than $2,000?
The calculator recomputes for any amount. At $500 a month Tria Max nets about $110 a year, close to the free Jupiter Global base plan (about $120), and the $10,000 fee on Kast Private makes its result negative. At $10,000 a month Plasma Platinum leads with about $3,960 a year before the cost of locked tokens, and Tria Max follows with about $2,150, because its 6% only covers the first $2,000 of spend. Both figures ignore FX.
Is the calculator available for my region?
Regions are currently grouped: EEA, UK, US, LatAm, Russia, CIS, Australia. Per-country filtering is not yet available. Globally available cards appear in all regions. Ledger is available in EEA, UK, US (excluding NY and VT), CA, CH, CO, MX, BR (shop.ledger.com, October 2026). ARQ operates in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil (help.arqfinance.com).
Do any plans require staking or locking tokens?
Some plans ask for a token lock instead of a fee, or on top of one. Plasma Core: $199/year or lock 20,000 XPL. Plasma Platinum: lock 100,000 XPL (promotional, later 150,000 XPL). Plasma is invite-only. The calculator shows these conditions but does not price the locked tokens, so weigh that cost yourself.
How often is the calculator data updated?
We check card terms against the issuers' own pages every week. Terms change often: Tria renamed its tiers and raised the Lite limit on 26 September 2026, and its help center now lists a $2,000 limit for Pro, for example. Confirm current terms with the issuer before you apply. Last full check: 12 October 2026, Tria limits rechecked on 15 October 2026.
