How to choose a Kaspa (KAS) mining pool in 2026

The best Kaspa mining pool depends on your setup. A single small ASIC wants a low minimum payout and frequent payments, a farm wants a clear fee and stable stratum hosts, and solo needs a pool that offers it. Pick by scenario, then check fee, scheme and payout terms in your own account before pointing hashrate at it.

What decides which Kaspa pool is right for you?

Five things decide it: the pool fee, the payout scheme, the minimum payout and its frequency, the stratum server closest to you, and whether you must register. Fees look similar on paper, so scheme and payout rules usually matter more than a fraction of a percent.

For hardware and income background before you choose a kaspa pool, see the Kaspa hardware and income guide.

Network context for 2026-11-05: per api.kaspa.org, network hashrate is about 372.9 PH/s and the block reward is 1.94454365 KAS. The reward drops every month by a factor of (1/2)^(1/12), so it halves roughly once a year, according to the Kaspa wiki tokenomics page. Public aggregators disagree on how hashrate is split between pools, and the primary source did not load, so this guide does not rank pools by size.

Which pool suits a small miner with one KS0-class ASIC?

For one small device such as an IceRiver KS0 Ultra, choose a low minimum payout and a smoothing scheme. Kryptex asks 10 KAS minimum with PPS+ at 1%. Trustpool and 2Miners ask 50 KAS. A smaller minimum means an earlier payout, but fees and schedules differ, so compare both.

IceRiver lists the KS0 Ultra at 400 GH and 100 W. At that size a 50 KAS minimum can mean a long wait for the first payout, which matters more than a 0.1% fee gap. To estimate your own daily KAS, use the mining calculator rather than a number from a guide.

Variance is the other issue. Under PPLNS a tiny miner is paid only when the pool finds blocks, while PPS+ pays a steadier amount per share. Kryptex (PPS+ 1%), Trustpool (PPS+ 1%, 50 KAS, email registration) and HeroMiners (PPS+ and PROPX) offer it. The HeroMiners official site does not state its fee or minimum payout (checked 2026-11-05), so read both in the live pool stats first.

Which pool suits a farm with several KS5 or KS7 machines?

A farm should look first at fee, payout stability and a regional server. Bitmain lists the KS5 Pro at 21 TH/s and 3150 W. IceRiver lists the KS7 at 30 TH and 3500 W. With several machines, a 0.5% fee difference applies to a large sum, and an unstable stratum connection costs real hashrate.

Fees from official pages are in the table below. AntPool's 0.5% comes from an official KAS guide dated 2023-09-12, and we could not locate a newer official confirmation, so check it in your account before connecting. ViaBTC's pricing page shows 4% on the block reward and 2% on transaction fees for PPS+, and 2% for PPLNS. That is a general page with no KAS-specific table, so confirm before you plan on it.

Regional hosts matter on a farm. EMCD lists Russia, Kazakhstan, EU, US and China hosts. Kryptex lists Global, EU, North America, South America, Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia and Middle East. 2Miners lists EU, US and Asia servers. Pick the host with the lowest ping from your site and set a backup in the miner.

How do PPS+, PPLNS and PROP work in plain words?

PPS+ pays a fixed amount per valid share plus a part of transaction fees, so income is smooth but the pool carries the luck risk and charges more for it. PPLNS pays by your share of recent work when a block is found, so payouts follow luck. PROP splits each block by shares in that round.

  • PPS+: you are paid for work done, whether or not the pool finds a block that day. Used by Kryptex, Trustpool, ViaBTC and HeroMiners.
  • PPLNS: you are paid when blocks are found, based on your share among the last shares submitted. Results balance out over a long period and swing in the short term. Used by 2Miners, F2Pool, AntPool, EMCD, WoolyPooly (a modified version it calls WPDS) and ViaBTC.
  • PROP and PROPX: a proportional split of each block by shares in the round. HeroMiners lists PROPX next to PPS+.

Does solo mining make sense, and who offers it?

Solo makes sense only if you accept that you may receive nothing for long stretches and then an entire block reward at once. Pools with solo for KAS include 2Miners at 1.5%, Kryptex at 1%, WoolyPooly and HeroMiners. At about 372.9 PH/s of network hashrate, a small device finds blocks rarely, so treat solo as a lottery, not as income.

  • 2Miners: `solo-kas.2miners.com:3030`, fee 1.5%, minimum 50 KAS, payouts every 2 hours. The page itself shows 1% in reviews and 1.5% in the main block. This guide uses 1.5%.
  • Kryptex: SOLO at 1%, connect with `solo:wallet`.
  • WoolyPooly: solo mode exists, and its separate solo fee is not stated on the official page.
  • HeroMiners: solo with the `solo:wallet` prefix, solo fee not stated.
  • F2Pool, AntPool, ViaBTC, EMCD, Trustpool: solo not stated on the official site (checked 2026-11-05).

Which pool should a miner in Russia or CIS choose?

Choose by reachable hosts and payout time. Kryptex has a Russia host, kas-ru.kryptex.network. EMCD has Russia and Kazakhstan hosts. Trustpool is Russian-language, pays on Moscow time and publishes a separate PDF of stratums for clients from Russia. No pool published an official statement about blocks, rubles or SBP for KAS.

Pool websites do not say whether they are blocked in Russia, so only regional hosts and schedules are confirmed:

  • Kryptex: `kas-ru.kryptex.network:7011`.
  • EMCD: `gate.emcd.network` is listed as the Russia host and `kz.emcd.network` as Kazakhstan, ports 9999 (TCP) and 19999 (TLS). EMCD's help center warns that mining may be restricted or subject to registration in certain jurisdictions.
  • Trustpool: payouts daily between 05:00 and 13:00 MSK, and the threshold has to be reached before 05:00 MSK.
  • HeroMiners: its about page says to reach it through its proxy if pools are blocked where you are. Russia is not named.

Which is better: no-registration pools or account pools?

No-registration pools let you mine with a wallet address as the login. That is faster to start and keeps less data with the pool. Account pools give a dashboard, settings and sometimes payout controls, at the price of an email, a password and extra steps. Neither is safer by default.

TypePoolsWhat you get
Wallet as login2Miners, WoolyPooly, HeroMiners, KryptexStart without an account. HeroMiners states no account, no email, no KYC. Kryptex needs an account only for auto-conversion.
Account requiredF2Pool, AntPool, ViaBTC, EMCD, TrustpoolF2Pool, AntPool, ViaBTC and EMCD need an account. Trustpool needs email and password, and pays to the address you set at signup.

EMCD is non-custodial and pays to an external wallet, and a new payout address is locked for 24 hours. Trustpool's website says registration is required, even though one aggregator says otherwise. This guide goes with the official site.

Which Kaspa mining pool is best? The master comparison table

No single kaspa mining pool wins everywhere: the best pick depends on device size, farm scale and where you are. The table gathers what official pages state as of 2026-11-05, and "Not stated" means the official site does not give the value.

Extra port notes. F2Pool also lists `stratum+ssl://kasssl.f2pool.com:1430`, and its guide was updated 2025-11-13. ViaBTC also lists `hash.viabtc.io:315`, an EU host `kas.powhashing.com:315` and SSL on `kas-ssl.powhashing.com:3015`. EMCD uses 19999 for TLS. HeroMiners ports by device: 1207 for IceRiver KS0, KS0 Pro, KS0 Ultra; 1208 for KS1, KS2, KS2 Lite, KS7 Lite; 1210 for IceRiver KS3, KS5L, KS5M, KS7 and Bitmain KS3, KS5, KS5 Pro.

Coinhold is not in the table because it is EMCD's wallet app, not a separate pool. For a wider comparison across coins, see the pools comparison.

How do I switch my IceRiver or Antminer to another pool?

Open the miner's web interface, replace the pool URL, worker name and password with the new pool's values, save and check the pool dashboard for hashrate. Menu names differ by firmware, so take the host and port from the pool's own page, not from a video or forum post.

  1. Find the miner's IP address on your network and open it in a browser, then open the pool configuration page.
  2. Enter the stratum address from the table, for example `stratum+tcp://kas.kryptex.network:7011` for Kryptex or `stratum+tcp://kas.f2pool.com:1430` for F2Pool. For HeroMiners, choose the port that matches your model.
  3. Enter the worker name. Wallet-login pools take your KAS address as the login. Account pools take `account.worker` (AntPool) or your account name (ViaBTC).
  4. Save, let the miner restart its mining process, and check the pool dashboard after a few minutes. Keep the old pool as a backup entry until the new one shows stable shares.

How do I check a pool before connecting?

Check five things on the pool's own site: the fee for KAS specifically, the scheme, the minimum and frequency of payouts, whether the stratum host matches the page, and whether the payout address can be changed. Then run a small test and withdraw once before moving all hashrate.

  • The fee and scheme are on the KAS page, not only a general page. For ViaBTC and AntPool only a general or old page was found.
  • The minimum payout is stated with a unit. WoolyPooly shows "50" without one.
  • The payout time comes with a time zone: Trustpool uses MSK, F2Pool UTC, ViaBTC UTC+8.
  • The stratum host and port come from the official page, since port numbers change and old guides circulate.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Kaspa mining pool?

There is no single best kaspa mining pool. For a small device, Kryptex has the lowest stated minimum, 10 KAS, with PPS+ at 1%. For a farm, compare fee, host and payout rules, starting with F2Pool, 2Miners, Kryptex and EMCD.

What is the minimum payout on Kaspa pools?

Official pages show 10 KAS at Kryptex, 50 KAS at 2Miners, EMCD and Trustpool, and 100/200/1000 KAS at F2Pool. WoolyPooly shows "50" without a unit. HeroMiners, AntPool and ViaBTC do not state a minimum on their official pages (checked 2026-11-05).

Can I mine Kaspa without registration?

Yes. 2Miners, WoolyPooly, HeroMiners and Kryptex let you mine with a wallet address as the login. F2Pool, AntPool, ViaBTC, EMCD and Trustpool require an account.

Is solo mining Kaspa worth it?

Only if you accept long gaps without income for a chance at a full block reward. 2Miners, Kryptex, WoolyPooly and HeroMiners offer solo, with fees of 1% to 1.5% where stated. The calculator shows expected daily income.

Which pool works from Russia or Kazakhstan?

Kryptex has a kas-ru host, and EMCD has Russia and Kazakhstan hosts. Trustpool is Russian-language with MSK payouts. No pool published an official statement about blocks, rubles or SBP for KAS, so test with a small amount first.

Can I use NiceHash or rented hashrate?

Trustpool says it does not accept NiceHash or MRR hashrate. 2Miners mentions a separate NiceHash port without giving a number. For other pools, check the pool's own page.

Which pool to pick in 2026: the verdict

Pick Kryptex or Trustpool for one small device if steady payouts matter, and check HeroMiners live stats for its fee and minimum. Pick F2Pool, 2Miners or EMCD for a farm that wants simple PPLNS terms. Use 2Miners or Kryptex for solo.

Pool terms change, and several official pages carry no date, so re-check the fee and minimum before each move. Compare the rest of the market in the pools comparison and estimate returns in the calculator.
