Bybit Card review 2026: fees, cashback, countries, limits, risks, who it fits
The Bybit Card suits people who already hold funds on Bybit and live in the EEA, Australia, Latin America, Georgia or Kazakhstan. Virtual cards are free, there is no annual fee, and top VIP levels get 10% cashback. It fits poorly in Russia, Belarus or the US, for anyone who needs self-custody, and for foreign spending from Argentina, where FX costs 7%.
POOL BTC is an independent comparison site. We are not Bybit, we do not issue cards, and nothing here is investment advice. Facts come from the official Bybit help center and learn pages checked on 2026-10-11, plus the third-party sources named in the text and the official pages of the alternatives.
What is the Bybit Card?
The Bybit Card is a debit card from the Bybit exchange that spends money from your Bybit Funding Account. You get a virtual card instantly and, in some regions, a physical one. Bybit says more than 2 million cards have been issued, according to a Bybit EU press release dated 2025-09-03, and Thredd handles processing, according to BusinessWire.
Several programmes sit behind one brand. Outside Europe the programme manager is Bybit Limited, incorporated in Kazakhstan under the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and authorized by its regulator AFSA, according to the card terms. In the EEA the card is issued by Harmoniie SAS, a French electronic money institution, with Moorwand Ltd. The platform there is run by Bybit EU GmbH in Vienna, a MiCAR-licensed crypto asset service provider.
Mastercard covers Argentina, Kazakhstan (AIFC), Georgia, Australia, Brazil, Mexico and the EEA. Asia Pacific gets a Visa credit card and Peru a Visa prepaid card. The EEA also has a Virtual Card Lite with a lifetime spending limit of 150 EUR.
When you pay, the card spends fiat in your Funding Account first. If there is not enough, it converts crypto at the spot price plus 0.9%.
How much does the Bybit Card cost, and what are the limits?
Virtual card issuance is free in every region and there is no annual fee. The real costs are the FX fee on foreign currency purchases, a 0.9% crypto conversion markup in most regions, and 2% on ATM withdrawals above a free monthly allowance. Physical card prices and FX fees vary by region, per the official fee page updated on 2026-08-17.
| Region | Physical card | FX fee | Crypto conversion | ATM |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EEA (bybit.eu) | First card free, 5 EUR replacement | 0.5% above Mastercard rate | 0.9% | Free up to 100 EUR a month, then 2% |
| Australia (bybit.com) | 29.99 USD, free for VIPs | 1% | 0.9% | Free up to 100 USD a month, then 2% |
| Argentina (bybit.com) | 5 USD or USDT, free for VIPs | 7% above Mastercard rate, plus 5% temporary hold | 0.5% | Free up to 95,000 ARS a month, then 2% |
| Brazil (bybit.com) | Free | 1.5%, plus 1% temporary hold | 0.9% | Free up to 550 BRL a month, then 2% |
| Georgia (bybit.com) | 29.99 USDT, free for VIPs | 2% | 0.9% | Free up to 100 USD a month, then 2% |
| Kazakhstan, AIFC (bybit.com) | Not stated | 2% international fee | 0.9% | Free up to 100 USD a month, then 2% |
| Mexico (bybit.com) | Free | Not stated | Not stated | Free up to 100 USD or 1,800 MXN a month, then 2% |
| Asia Pacific (bybit.com) | 5 USDT, free for VIPs, Tier 2 or higher | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated |
"Not stated" means not stated on the official site (checked 2026-10-11). Peru has no physical card yet. The EU fee page was last updated on 2026-06-03. ATM operators can add their own surcharge on top of Bybit's 2%.
The temporary hold in Argentina and Brazil is released at settlement, so it is not a fee, but you need the extra balance at checkout.
EEA limits depend on your verification tier:
| EEA tier | Per transaction and daily | Monthly | Annual | ATM monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 5,000 EUR | 10,000 EUR | 60,000 EUR | 2,000 EUR |
| Tier 2 | 10,000 EUR | 25,000 EUR | 125,000 EUR | 5,000 EUR |
| Tier 3 | 15,000 EUR | 50,000 EUR | 250,000 EUR | 10,000 EUR |
Australia allows 50,000 USD a day and 150,000 USD a month. Argentina is tighter: 1,000 USD per transaction, 5,000 USD a day, 10,000 USD a month and 50,000 USD a year.
How does Bybit Card cashback work?
Cashback depends on your Bybit VIP level and is paid in USDT by default, according to the Bybit Learn page updated on 2026-06-15. Non-VIP users get 2% with a cap of about $5 a month, and the top VIP tiers get 10% with a cap of about $600. Since 2026-01-19, bybit.eu users can choose BTC instead of USDT.
Bybit counts cashback in points worth 0.002 USDT each, so the dollar caps below are our conversion, not figures Bybit publishes.
| Tier | VIP level | Cashback | Minimum monthly spend | Monthly cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Base | Non-VIP | 2% | None | 2,500 points, about $5 |
| Beta | VIP 1-2 | 2% | $500 | 25,000 points, about $50 |
| Alpha | VIP 3 | 4% | $3,500 | 75,000 points, about $150 |
| Apex | VIP 4 | 6% | $9,500 | 125,000 points, about $250 |
| Omega | VIP 5 | 8% | $12,500 | 200,000 points, about $400 |
| Infinite and Supreme | Top VIP | 10% | $25,000 | 300,000 points, about $600 |
Once you hit the monthly point cap, you earn nothing more that month. At the base level that happens after about $250 of spending.
New cardholders get 10% cashback in the first month, up to 120 USDT in total: a 10 USDT airdrop after depositing 100 USDT plus up to 110 USDT cashback in some categories.
A Bybit EU press release mentions 100% rebates on Netflix, Spotify and selected AI tools, but the VIP level needed is not confirmed on current official pages.
Who is the Bybit Card for, and who should skip it?
The Bybit Card fits you if you:
- already trade or hold stablecoins on Bybit and want to spend them without a manual cash out;
- live in a covered region such as the EEA, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Georgia or Kazakhstan;
- have a Bybit VIP level, where cashback and free physical cards start to matter;
- want Apple Pay or Google Pay on a crypto card.
Look elsewhere, or compare first, if you:
- live in Russia, Belarus or the US, where the card is not offered;
- want to hold your own keys, since the Funding Account is custodial;
- are a non-VIP user hoping for real cashback, because the cap is about $5 a month.
If you mine bitcoin and want to turn payouts into daily spending, use the mining calculator to estimate what you earn after pool fees, then subtract the card's 0.9% conversion.
Which countries can use the Bybit Card?
The card is available in the EEA through bybit.eu, and in Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Georgia, Kazakhstan (AIFC), Mexico, Peru and Asia Pacific through bybit.com. Peru gets a virtual card only. Russia and Belarus are explicitly excluded, and the US is not supported.
In the EEA the card works only through bybit.eu: EU countries plus Norway and Liechtenstein, except Malta. The bybit.com EUR card has been closed to new EEA applicants since 2026-01-01, and existing holders had to migrate by 2025-12-31. Switzerland stays on the bybit.com EUR programme.
Latin America is the strongest region outside Europe. Argentina, Brazil and Mexico have physical cards, and Peru has a virtual Visa prepaid card.
The card terms define the CIS region as excluding Russia and Belarus, so do not apply from there. The UK, Singapore and Hong Kong are not listed on the official pages (checked 2026-10-11).
How safe is the Bybit Card, and who holds your funds?
The card spends from your Bybit Funding Account, which is custodial. It is not a bank account and has no deposit insurance. In February 2025 Bybit lost about $1.5 billion in a hack and says it restored a 1:1 client asset ratio within 72 hours. The latest Proof of Reserves audit we found is dated 2025-06-19.
The hack happened on 2025-02-21. The FBI attributed it to the Lazarus Group, as BleepingComputer reported on 2025-02-27. The attackers took ETH and staked ETH from Bybit's ETH cold wallet after compromising a Safe{Wallet} developer machine and injecting malicious JavaScript. CoinDesk reported outflows of more than $5 billion within 24 hours.
The 1:1 claim comes from a Bybit press release dated 2025-02-24. Proof of Reserves audits are done by Hacken. The latest one we found showed reserves above 100% for more than 40 assets. We did not find a later audit (checked 2026-10-11).
How do you get the Bybit Card?
For bybit.com regions the steps follow the official help center.
- Log in to Bybit and complete identity verification. You must be 18 or older.
- In Asia Pacific and Australia, also verify your address.
- Open the Card section and choose Add New Card.
- Pick the programme for your region and complete any extra KYC it asks for.
- Get the virtual card instantly and add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay where supported.
- Request a physical card where your region offers one.
In the EEA you register a new account at bybit.eu, verify with an ID and a proof of address no older than three months, and then apply. The proof of address must come from an eligible EU country, not Croatia or Ireland, or from Liechtenstein or Norway. Bybit EU can decline an application.
Funding coins vary by region and Bybit does not publish one full list. In Argentina, for example, you can fund with BTC, ETH, XRP, USDT, USDC and GRAM.
What are the risks of using the Bybit Card?
- Custody. Funds sit in your Bybit Funding Account, not in a wallet you control. A freeze, outage or regulatory action at Bybit can cut off your card.
- Exchange security. The 2025 hack showed a large exchange can lose funds. Bybit says it restored client assets within 72 hours, but nothing guarantees that next time.
- Proof of Reserves gap. The latest audit we found is from June 2025.
- Tax. In many countries each crypto-funded purchase can count as a taxable disposal, so keep records.
- Changing terms. The EEA programme moved from bybit.com to bybit.eu, and existing holders had to switch.
How does the Bybit Card compare with OKX, Bitget and Crypto.com?

| ATM | Free monthly allowance, then 2% | Not stated | $0.65 plus 2% from the first withdrawal | Not stated |
Figures for the alternatives come from their official pages checked on 2026-10-11, and "Not stated" means we did not find the figure there. Bitget pays cashback from a shared pool, first come, first served.
For an EEA resident without VIP status, OKX has the lower spread and a far higher base cap. Bybit wins on geography, with physical cards in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, while OKX is EEA only and this Bitget card covers Asia Pacific. See our reviews of the Bybit exchange, the OKX Card and the KAST Card.
FAQ
Is the Bybit Card free?
The virtual card is free everywhere and there is no annual fee. You pay an FX fee on foreign currency purchases, 0.9% on crypto conversion in most regions, 2% on ATM withdrawals above the monthly allowance, and in some regions a fee for the physical card.
How much cashback does the Bybit Card give?
Non-VIP users get 2% capped at 2,500 points, about $5 a month. Higher VIP levels get 4% to 10%, with the top tier capped at about $600 a month and a $25,000 minimum monthly spend.
Can I use the Bybit Card in Russia or Belarus?
No. The card terms exclude Russia and Belarus from the CIS region, and neither country is on the list of supported regions.
Is the Bybit Card available in Argentina?
Yes. Argentina has a Mastercard with a 5 USD physical card, free for VIPs. Note the 7% FX fee on foreign currency purchases and the 5% temporary hold at checkout.
Does the Bybit Card work with Apple Pay and Google Pay?
Both work in the EEA, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Peru. Asia Pacific and Mexico have Google Pay only, and Samsung Pay works only in Australia.
Is the Bybit Card worth it in 2026?
For a Bybit user in a covered region, especially with a VIP level, it is a practical way to spend crypto, with free virtual cards and wide coverage in Latin America and Europe. Without VIP status the cashback is small, and if you need self-custody or live in Russia, Belarus or the US, look at other cards.
If it fits you, open an account through Bybit, complete verification and test the virtual card with a small amount before you move your spending to it.
