How to start betting on Polymarket, Predict.fun, and Jupiter: wallets and funding

Prediction markets do not take bank cards: you connect a crypto wallet, fund it on the right chain, and buy Yes/No outcome shares. POOL BTC walks through MetaMask and Rabby, deposits, and your first bet on the three venues in the Predict hub.

TL;DR: Polymarket: MetaMask/Rabby + Polygon + USDC. Predict.fun: same EVM wallet + BNB Chain + USDT/USDC. Jupiter: Phantom/Solflare + Solana + USDC. Links: pool-btc.com/predict/en/. World Cup 2026 prediction markets overview.

What is a prediction market and why a wallet?

You buy a Yes or No token priced $0.01-$0.99. If the event happens, Yes pays $1. Venues are non-custodial: funds sit in your wallet or a smart contract. No wallet means no access.

What is MetaMask?

MetaMask is a browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge). It creates keys on your device. The 12-word seed grants full access: write it on paper, not in cloud or chat. MetaMask connects to dApps: Polymarket and Predict.fun ask you to sign transactions. It supports Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, and many EVM networks.

What is Rabby and how is it different?

Rabby is an alternative EVM wallet from the DeBank team. Also a browser extension with the same seed phrase model. Pros: human-readable transaction preview, auto network switch on sites, warnings on risky contracts. For Polymarket and Predict.fun Rabby and MetaMask are interchangeable: pick one, do not duplicate seeds.

How to install MetaMask or Rabby in 5 minutes?

  1. Download only from metamask.io or rabby.io (not ads).
  2. Create a new wallet, save seed, set extension password.
  3. Never share seed or connect to Telegram "support".
  4. For Solana separately: phantom.app or solflare.com (MetaMask does not replace it).

How to fund your wallet for bets?

Funding means sending stablecoins and gas to your wallet address on the correct chain. Exchanges charge withdrawal fees; $20-50 is fine for a first test.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Withdrawing USDC on Ethereum instead of Polygon - funds stuck until bridged.
  • No MATIC/BNB/SOL - transactions fail. Always keep gas.
  • Signing on a phishing clone. Check URLs: polymarket.com, predict.fun, jup.ag.
  • Seed in screenshots or cloud - total loss if leaked.
