Which Pool for Whatsminer M60 and M66: Fees, Payouts and Setup Compared
Whatsminer M60 and M66 owners ask which pool to point the machines at. This guide compares fees, payout schemes and minimum payouts and shows how the threshold depends on fleet size. POOL BTC is an independent comparison site, not a mining pool, and takes no cut from any pool below. Fee and threshold figures come from the pools' own documentation, checked on 2026-08-18 (Tpool on 2026-09-09). Pools change their terms, so check the pool's site before you point hashrate at it.
Does a Whatsminer M60 or M66 need a special pool?
No. Any Bitcoin pool with SHA-256 Stratum works with the M60 and M66 family, just as it does with Antminer or Avalon hardware. The pool does not care which brand made the hashboards. What changes the outcome is the pool's fee, its payout scheme, the payout threshold and how close its servers are to your site.
What hashrate does one M60 or M66 produce?
Official MicroBT store and manual figures, checked 2026-09-23: the air-cooled M60S+ is rated 188 TH/s at 3384 W (18.0 W/TH), the M60S++ about 200 to 226 TH/s depending on bin (15.5 W/TH), and the immersion M66S+ 280 to 318 TH/s (17.0 W/TH). For the plain M60, M60S and M66S we found no figure we could trace, so we leave them out.
For current efficiency and daily income per model, see the ASIC miner ranking. Hashrate matters for pool choice mainly because it sets how fast you reach the minimum payout. At a hashprice of about $38 per PH/s per day (The Block, 2026-09-14), a 188 TH/s machine earns roughly $7.2 a day before fees and power.
Which pools are worth comparing for a Whatsminer?
A short answer: for one or a few machines, look first at pools with a low payout threshold and a flat FPPS or PPS+ scheme, so income is predictable and arrives often. For a larger fleet, the fee matters more than the threshold. The table lists Bitcoin pools from our pool comparison.
| Pool | Minimum payout | Fee (BTC) | Payout scheme |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tpool | 0.0001 BTC | 0.9% | FPPS |
| Trustpool | 0.001 BTC | 1% | PPS+ |
| Luxor | 0.001 BTC | 2.5% | FPPS |
| Promminer | 0.0001 BTC | 3% | FPPS |
| Kryptex Pool | 0.001 BTC | 3% | PPS+ |
| AntPool | 0.005 BTC | 4% | FPPS / PPS / PPLNS |
| F2Pool | 0.005 BTC | 4% (PPLNS 2%) | FPPS / PPLNS |
| ViaBTC | 0.001 BTC | 4% (PPLNS 2%) | PPS+ / PPLNS |
| EMCD | 0.0001 BTC | 4% | FPPS |
| Binance Pool | no published threshold, daily credit to Funding Wallet | 4% | FPPS |
| Foundry USA | 0.01 BTC (2730 sat on the last day of each month) | not publicly disclosed | FPPS |
| Neopool | 0.001 BTC | not publicly disclosed | FPPS |

Is the lowest fee always the best choice?
No. The fee is one line in the math. A pool on FPPS pays for transaction fees in blocks; a PPS+ or PPLNS pool may pay them differently, and PPLNS income swings with pool luck. A 1% pool with weak uptime can pay less than a 4% pool that never drops. We broke this down in 1% fee vs 4% fee.
How long until the first payout from an M60?
It depends on the pool threshold and on how much your machines earn per day. The formula is simple: days to first payout equal the threshold divided by daily BTC income after fees. With a 0.0001 BTC threshold, even one machine gets paid often. With 0.005 or 0.01 BTC, a single unit may wait weeks.
To turn the daily income into BTC, divide the dollar figure above by the current BTC price. Use the mining calculator with your own hashrate and power price. More on this in time to first payout.
Which pool suits one to five Whatsminers?
For a small setup, the threshold and payout frequency usually matter more than a percentage point of fee. Pools with 0.0001 BTC minimum (Tpool, Promminer, EMCD) pay small farms without long waits. Among them the fees differ: Tpool 0.9%, Promminer 3%, EMCD 4%. Check which of them offer servers near you.
Which pool suits a fleet of 20 or more machines?
At this size the threshold is reached quickly anywhere, so the fee and uptime take over. Each fee point is now a real sum per month. Compare Trustpool (1%), Luxor (2.5%) and the large 4% pools on uptime history and support. Foundry USA and Neopool do not publish a fee; Foundry takes miners by application with KYC, so ask both for terms directly.
How do I set up the pool on a Whatsminer?
Open the miner's web interface (or WhatsMinerTool), go to the pool settings and fill in three slots: the pool Stratum URL, your worker name in the account.worker format, and a password (often any value). Always fill slots two and three with backup servers. The step-by-step guide is in how to connect an ASIC to a pool, and why backups matter is in backup pools and failover.
Should I use PPLNS on F2Pool or ViaBTC to save on fees?
Both pools list a lower PPLNS fee of 2% against 4% on their main schemes. The trade-off is variance: PPLNS pays for blocks the pool actually finds, so weekly income moves up and down with luck. For one or two machines that noise is noticeable. A larger fleet can absorb it more easily.
FAQ
Does Whatsminer firmware lock me into a specific pool?
Stock firmware lets you enter any Stratum pool URL. Third-party firmware is a separate topic and not covered here.
Is the M66 (immersion) set up differently from the M60 (air)?
Pool settings are the same. Cooling differs, not the pool configuration.
Can I split my Whatsminers across two pools?
Yes. Each machine has its own pool settings. Splitting lowers the risk of one pool outage, but each pool's threshold is reached more slowly.
Which pool has the lowest minimum payout for BTC?
Among the pools in our table, Tpool, Promminer and EMCD list 0.0001 BTC (as of 2026-08-18 / 2026-09-09).
What is F2Pool's minimum payout?
0.005 BTC per our 2026-08-18 check, the same as AntPool.
Does Binance Pool have a payout threshold?
It credits earnings daily to the Binance Funding Wallet and does not publish a threshold.
Where can I check whether my M60 is profitable at my power price?
Enter your numbers in the calculator and compare models in the miner ranking.
